Our journey began in 2005, when Jimmy Bright penned the first five Yishkeni adventures one day just before making the move to what would become their beloved home on a peaceful farm in Western Maryland. There, surrounded by rolling hills and the simple joys of rural life, Jimmy discovered that reaching children's hearts has nothing to do with complex engineering formulas and everything to do with embracing the world through their wonder-filled eyes.

Jimmy's journey to children's literature began with unexpected wisdom from his engineering mentor: "Think like a child." What seemed like simple advice transformed into the cornerstone of his storytelling philosophy.
On their Western Maryland farm, Jimmy and his wife Susan have discovered that the most profound truths often come wrapped in the simplest moments.
